Artiko Double Sofa Corner Range – MDD

 

The name Artiko correlates to the idea behind the design. In Esperanto, it means “joint”, and the series is based on the possibility to freely join differently shaped modules. Components with backrests can be arranged in a way that there are seats on both sides of the backrest. Double-sided sofas created by this configuration are a perfect fit for public spaces. They will complement interior arrangements in office and school chill-out zones, hotel lobbies, waiting rooms, train station and airport halls, even shopping centres – and they will allow for a moment of rest or a conversation everywhere. The functionality of a double-sided sofa can be enhanced by additional tables and mediaboxes, and the wide range of upholstery materials will help match the sofa to the space. Artiko will liven up each space, introducing some colour into it and inviting for an interaction between users.

  • Construction

    The chipboard box ensures that the seat keeps its shape, and allows it to be fitted with a USB plug.

  • Springs

    The A-type sinuous springs and the thick layer of cut foam make the sofa comfortable even during long sitting.

  • Upholstery

    Thanks to the stitching, the seat can be precisely upholstered. It also prevents the fabric from stretching.

The social sofa

The possibility to create big configurations makes Artiko an ideal seating for public spaces, such as lounge zones, waiting rooms, shopping centres, and halls at train stations or airports. Encouraged by the shape of the sofa, various groups of the uses will interact, meet and talk to each other.

The working sofa

Thanks to its practical accessories, Artiko becomes a fully functional seating system. Tables and mediaboxes enable the user to charge their phone or laptop and to put aside their notes or a mug. Thus, Artiko will be great for meetings, working and learning sessions (both individual and group), and for waiting or taking a break.

 

The changing sofa

Artiko modules can be joined in any number. From a pouf created by two segments, up to a snake-y sofa as long as the corridor – the seat can have any desired size. Due to that, Artiko can be tailored to the context and the space, regardless of its dimensions.
